JOB SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for the planning, forecasting, budgeting, preparing management reports and financial analysis as required. The Financial Analyst will lead or collaborate in certain strategic and productivity initiatives, e.g. new base openings, acquisition evaluation, cost controls and/or reductions and variance analysis. This position will work closely with the Director of Finance and President of GrandView Aviation.
Salary: $60,000-75,000

Minimum 4 years' experience as a Financial or Business Analyst preferably in a Financial Planning & Analysis capacity.

JOB SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for the planning, forecasting, budgeting, preparing management reports and financial analysis as required. The Financial Analyst will lead or collaborate in certain strategic and productivity initiatives, e.g. new base openings, acquisition evaluation, cost controls and/or reductions and variance analysis. This position will work closely with the Director of Finance and President of GrandView Aviation.
Salary: $60,000-75,000
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Assist in the preparation of financial projections and reviews with operating departments.
- Manage the monthly close and reporting cycle with a focus on leveraging variance analysis to drive business results
- Help manage financial performance to ensure the company is meeting the annual EBITDA targets through monthly spend reviews and by developing tools and procedures that drive greater accountability and visibility throughout the organization
- Development of solid understanding of accounting, budgeting, and variance analysis and forecasting in addition to creativity.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process, ensuring understanding and ownership throughout the organization
- Provide analytics in support of revenue, operational and business initiatives, including financial modeling, new contract support and ongoing business tracking and evaluation
- Perform on-going and ad hoc reporting requirements
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Adherence to and compliance with information systems security is everyone's responsibility. Report information systems security problems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 4 years' experience as a Financial or Business Analyst preferably in a Financial Planning & Analysis capacity.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or closely related
- MBA preferred, but not required
Other Experience/Skills
- Strong organization, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint.
- Technical ability to learn new electronic systems and programs
- Strong statistical background with experience in financial projections.

- Physical requirements include speaking, hearing, and visual acuity (close vision, depth perception, ability to adjust/transition focus.

- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing competing requests.
- Computer processing skills with demonstrated manual dexterity.
- Must have sound decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Must be capable of comprehending and following oral and/or written procedures.
- Must be capable of effectively communicating with personnel at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time; ability to reach with hands and arms as needed.
