The Financial and ALM Analyst is responsible for research, analysis and management of Asset Liability Management (“ALM”), investment and other financial reporting.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

  • Minimum two years of experience in credit research, risk analysis, portfolio analysis or a related area

  • Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills

  • Proficient in manipulating data for analysis and reporting

  • Strong technical skills

  • Strong knowledge in all Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Preferred:

  • Experience in the banking field

  • Direct experience in banking ALM management


Primary Duties:

  • Responsible for maintaining extract files detailing loan, deposit, and investment data and routing to 3rd party vendor for processing.

  • Serve as a resource person for the Asset/Liability Committee, including development and on-going maintenance of the financial institution’s ALM models.

  • Perform pre-purchase analysis on investment securities as well as on-going analysis and prepare reports as specified in the Bank’s investment policy as well as any other reports needed for strategic decision-making.

  • Preparation of board financial reports, liquidity position and investment portfolio composition and activity reporting.

  • Assist in preparation of quarterly call reports.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the Bank’s loan and deposit pricing models.

Secondary Duties:

  • Research economic data and trends as well as competitor information to support retail and commercial activities.

  • Perform feasibility studies, where needed, to assess market needs.

  • Assist in the development of a customer profitability model to assess customer relationships and validate decision-making.

General:

  • Complies with regulatory rules and regulations, evidenced through successful completion of training and demonstrated ability

  • Performs other duties as appointed by management.
