Excel Property Management is a well-established and growing company that provides Community supervision, maintenance and financial services throughout Sussex County DE and Worchester County MD. Excel is seeking an experienced Controller to manage our growing portfolio of 43 communities.
The candidate must be highly skilled in the following areas:
· QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel
· The ability to quickly learn the AppFolio property management software
· Excellent communication skills
· Strong organizational skills
· Supervision of three accounting staff
· Prepare and explain financial statements to our communities Board Members
· Zoom and Microsoft Teams platforms
· Payroll software and knowledge of labor laws
· Manage Employee time off and holiday pay
· A deep understanding and working knowledge of A/R, A/P, banking, contracts, and budgets
Position requirements:
· BS in Accounting preferred but will accept 6 to 8 years of direct experience
· Professional references are required
· Driver’s License required
· High School Diploma or GED required
