Ameriprise – Nashua, NH – a dynamic, growth oriented, well established financial advisory practice is seeking a fulltime Financial Planning Specialist. At Ameriprise Financial we help people feel confident about their financial future by providing comprehensive financial planning and investment consulting to families, individuals, and small organizations to help achieve financial goals and simplify their financial lives.

Job Purpose:

Serve as a Financial Planning Specialist, providing exceptionally friendly, helpful, high-quality service to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Meeting prep, including:
  • Agenda prep
  • Running reports
  • Gather necessary applications
  • Create and process new business, track in Status Manager
  • Manage and resolve client service problems
  • Contact the home office as needed
  • Financial plan prep
  • Enter data into Naviplan
  • Trades and transactions
  • Setup and maintain a client management system
  • Update client suitability as needed
  • Answer client calls and questions as needed
  • Review and interpret financial statements
  • Assist with product development and strategy for the office

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • 1+ years of similar work experience in the financial services industry
  • 1+ years of doing financial plans
  • NASD/FINRA Series 7, 66 and life and health is a plus
  • Pleasant, professional and friendly manner with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, accurate, and attention to detail
  • Strong customer service ethic
  • Proven analytical and independent problem-solving skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft office including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adhere to rules and regulations as required by advisor and Ameriprise
  • Strong personal and business ethics and integrity
  • Salesforce experience a plus
  • Ability to support and provide guidance for compliance
  • Desire to grow and learn within the practice

Salary and Benefits:

  • $50,000-$55,000 per year - based on experience and licensure
  • Simple IRA with a 3% match, Paid Time Off and life insurance options available - No Medical
