Job description

We are looking for a customer-oriented service representative. This position will be in our fast-paced Fire Alarm Repair Division. The ideal candidate will be able to work well both individually and as a team, and have experience with scheduling and routing technicians or service employees.
DUTIES OVERVIEW:

  • Manage frequent incoming calls as well as initiating outgoing calls to schedule repairs with our customers
  • Scheduling of daily routes for assigned technicians, enter orders into our company's computer software, and dispatch repair calls
  • Identify and assess customer's needs to achieve satisfactory results
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
  • Provide accurate, valid, and complete information by using the right methods/tools
  • Handle customer complaints or issues while providing appropriate solutions or alternative actions
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies

SKILLS OVERVIEW:

  • Proven customer support experience or as a client service representative is essential
  • Active listening and a strong, personable phone and interoffice presence
  • Ability to adapt to differing customer situations and needs
  • Clear and personable communication required to work with not only customers, but also technicians, sales personnel, and managers internally
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively to ensure the fire safety needs of our customers are addressed
  • Computer literacy with minimum typing ability at 40 wpm
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Consistent and dependable attendance to ensure the fire safety needs of our customers are met
  • Must be committed to creating value in the Fire Alarm Repair department
  • Provide back up to fellow department staff
  • Assist with issues or special projects that may arise due to the nature of the fire and safety industry
  • Integrity that aligns with Fox Valley Fire & Safety’s company values

EDUCATION OVERVIEW:

  • High school diploma or equivalency
