Toro’s Irrigation and Lighting business is located in Riverside, CA. The Toro Company’s irrigation business is comprised of two distinct brands, Toro® and Irritrol®. Both brands offer a full line of solid, dependable, irrigation products including controllers, sensors, valves, spray heads and rotors to help customers care for golf courses, sports fields, public green spaces, commercial and residential properties. Unique Lighting Systems is a leading brand of professional grade lighting fixtures, low voltage transformers, LED lamps and the patented HUB system for installation. Serving both residential and commercial markets, Unique Lighting Systems offers a full line of outdoor lighting products.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

• Design firmware in assembly language and C

• Design firmware for real-time embedded systems

• Understand structured programming techniques

• Have extensive experience with Microchip and ARM microcontrollers (familiarity with other 8, 16, and 32 bit microprocessors and/or microcontrollers, such as Freescale, TI, Toshiba and ST would be beneficial)

• Preferred experience interfacing with Azure IoT Hub, AWS IoT, or similar MQTT based services;

• Are proficient with engineering tools, such as oscilloscope, logic analyzers and power/signal generators; and

• Communicates easily at the technical and non-technical level.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronic or computer science engineering with at least three years firmware design experience in the consumer or industrial electronics industry

• Good understanding of principles; as well as, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.

• Of particular interest are candidates with an understanding of data communication techniques via radio, telephone or wireless.

7+years of experience with firmware design experience in the consumer or industrial electronics industry; dexterous understanding of principles; as well as, Microsoft Office Suite and M

Level IV

10+ years of experience with firmware design experience in the consumer or industrial electronics industry; dexterous understanding of principles; as well as, Microsoft Office Suite and M

Competitive Salary – The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $84600 - $145000. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package.
