Position: Fit Model
Location: Bluffton, SC
Description
Spartina 449 is seeking a Fit Model for our corporate office in Bluffton, SC. This role is responsible for trying on women’s apparel samples during fit sessions and providing feedback on how the product fits and feels on the body. Candidates must be available a few days a week for 2-3 hours each day between the hours of 8:30-5pm, Monday-Friday.
Primary Responsibility
The primary function of this role is to wear garments during a fit session and share feedback with our Apparel Designer on how the product fits and feels on the body. The fit sessions are used to ensure products meet our fit, comfort, and quality requirements.
The following industry standard size requirements are what our Apparel Designers use for designing our clothes.
Size: 6
Height: 5’6”- 5’8”
Chest: 36”
Waist: 31”
Hip: 40”
Other responsibilities include:
- Try on garments in all stages of development and production for various product categories
- Provide comments and feedback on the fit of garments which may impact the construction and fit for consistency, function, and comfort
- Ability to have a flexible schedule and travel into our offices for fit sessions as needed
- Maintain body specifications within allowed tolerances
- Confidence while modeling garments in front of large groups
- Comfortable being measured routinely as well comfortable with having clothing adjusted/manipulated while on body by Technical Designer
Minimum Requirements
- Prior Fit Model or product tester experience a plus, but not required
- Must meet industry standard size requirements listed above
- High School Diploma
- Professionalism and great communications skills are a must
- Ability to come into the office as needed for fit sessions during normal working hours
- Ability to operate within our agenda
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Salary: $23-25/hr
