Food Prep

Job Overview:

Our kitchen is now looking for an experienced Food Prep to join our very successful brigade for an upscale casual restaurant that is seeking team members who are motivated, dependable and brand-conscious. The successful candidate will be part of a team that is dedicated to cultivating and creating an exceptional dining experience through high quality food and beverage presentation. This position requires you to work with a high degree of accuracy, follow detailed instructions and perform basic cleaning tasks. Ultimately, we are looking for a candidate who is extremely passionate about food and is eager to learn.

Essential Job Functions:

The Food Prep reports to the Head Sushi Sous Chef. The Food Prep is responsible for overseeing quality of food products as well as inspecting all supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure adherence to company standards of operation. The Food Prep creates and key ingredients that provide our guests with a variety of selections of top-quality cuisine that represents the SUSHI ROSÉ brand.

As a Food Prep we would love you to have:

- Previous experience working as a Food Prep or higher.
- Experience working with a similar cuisine.
- Great English language communication skills with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to maintain and follow recipes, processes and standards.
- Drive and ambition with a desire to learn and grow within the team.
- Flexible availability, working any 5 days a week between Monday – Sunday.
- Full ownership in your role.

SUSHI ROSÉ is one of a kind restaurant where visionary ideas are combined with extraordinary architecture, memorable uniforms, great location, and a selective selection of artwork. It comes to life by bringing a team built of passionate individuals whose uniqueness comes together to deliver the best culinary, bar, and wine program. SUSHI ROSÉ celebrates the culture and cuisine of Japan and Peru. The menus are a mix of new and signature dishes with an emphasis on bold flavors, the finest ingredients, and artful presentations.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

• Ability to grasp, lift, move, or push goods on cart/truck weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Requires mobility.  Sense of smell, taste, touch, and sound. Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity.
• Remain in stationary position for 8 or more hours throughout work shift.
• Ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level and illumination.

Salary

$11- $12 / Hour + Tip Share
