TITLE: Food Processor – Baker (Production Plant)

Summary:

Entry level opportunity with tremendous growth and development potential within an exciting new food production business. Team environment including interaction with associates on every level of the organization.

Essential Functions/Qualifications & Responsibilities/Duties:

• Must know how to calculate product run time
• Must know what a HACCP plan is
• Responsible for overall baking process
• Ensure correct qualities of baked goods are being produced daily
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, baking and preparation environment
• Must be able to remain calm and follow instructions in a busy kitchen environment
• Have a positive attitude, and attention to detail
• Follow clean and prep procedures, including use of protective equipment and clothing
• Monitor baking process to identify any adjustments
• Lift products 25-50 lbs.
• Reports all injuries, illnesses, accidents, unsafe conditions, security concerns to management immediately
• Participate in ongoing training
• Track and record QA data on all baked goods, giving feedback on out of spec product so adjustment can be made
• Other basic QA tasks you may be required to perform daily; swabbing, paperwork review, cooler and freezer inspections etc. as directed by production manager and or product development manager
• Baker’s regular duties will include but not limited to; loading and unloading tray washer, stacking cookies, helping on package machine, working in the sink area, perform basic quality control tasks in the production room, etc.
• Other responsibilities as determined by supervisor

Required Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years’ experience with food manufacturing education/experience
• Customer service (internal and external) is highest priority
• Passionate and knowledgeable about creating the best product every time
• Ability to accurately measure and follow instructions and recipes
• Ability to focus and move at a brisk pace
• Must be well groomed (personal hygiene) and follow all OHSHA guidelines
• Looking to build leadership skills and grow with the company
• Ability to thrive in a team environment
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening (prior to employment, and random verification)
• Must be punctual, reliable and willing/able to meet attendance requirements
• Able to stand for 4-hour increments at a time, work a 40-hour work week, possible OT during peak season
• Execution of repetitive tasks
• Sense of urgency and attention to details
• Ability to cross-pollinate job duties with other team members and tasks as needed
• Strong organization and communication skills, possess problem solving skills, ability to prioritize work and make decisions
