Job Title: Forklift and Truck Operator
Reports to: SoPakco Distribution, Inc. Greeneville/Kingsport, TN
Job Summary:
SoPakCo forklift operator are expected to work as a value member of the shipping and receiving operations. As a forklift operator, you will be responsible to perform all forklift operating duties in a safe and timely manner and operating scanner.
Job Description/Required Skills:
- Must be able to perform daily forklift inspections.
- Operate all material handling equipment.
- Must be able to load, unload, stock, and wrap product.
- Required to operate a scanner.
- Assist other areas/departments when needed.
- Must be able to operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner.
- Must be able to learn to operate all material handling equipment.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous forklift experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires prolonged sitting, standing and material handling equipment operations.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly.
- Must be able to work in severe weather conditions, both heat and cold
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screening.
