We are looking disciplined, dedicated, and consistent workers for our Aluminum Extrusion Press department.

Monday – Friday starting $18.43 per hour

• Sets saw gauge to required length on saw table, as necessary. Must meet customer need specifications and quality standards
• Loads extrusions onto saw table, as necessary
• Cuts scrap from ends of extrusions
• Cuts extrusions into lengths specified by customer
• Maintains proper flow of cutting lubricant
• Checks lengths of extrusions with tape measure and ensures that the order/die/length are correct
• Carefully cuts lengths to prevent damage
• Assists with racking lengths of aluminum being extruded from the press, so they can be transported for heat treatment, prior to sawing
• Moves metal from saw area to racking, stacking the metal neatly and ensuring there is enough space between metal to allow air flow during aging process
• Moves racks of metal away from saw, so the metal can be moved to another area
• Watches closely for quality problems
• Turns metal over to check bottom surface
• Checks quality of end cuts
• Notifies supervisor of any defects and discards scrap
• Fills cutting oil and advises Maintenance when saw needs service

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Prior saw operation experience or the ability to learn and operate all saws in bays (preferred)
• Must be able to safely operate equipment with minimal supervision
• Good computer skills are a plus
• Must be able to accurately use standard measuring tools (tape measure, etc.)
• Ability to read, understand and follow all safety requirements, for the position
• Successful record of attendance
• Strong communication and organizational skills to meet position requirements
• Works well with others in a team environment focus
• Follows all safety rules and expectations
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, including but not limited to: lifting up to 40 pounds, standing for extended periods of time, and in extreme temperatures. Noise levels require wearing appropriate PPE
