Mechanic – Now Hiring Full Time Position – For Forklift Field Service

Office is in San Marcos Texas and covers areas from north Austin to San Antonio.

Hourly Rate: Up to 30.00 / Hourly Rate: Is equal to experience.

Field Service Technician

Job Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all makes and models of forklifts. Includes liquid propane, gas, and diesel engines, electric motors, transmissions, drive axles, differentials, hydraulic systems, brake systems, steering systems, electrical systems, lifting systems.
  • Follow company safety guidelines, to properly block up equipment to disassemble as needed and be able to remove components for repair then reinstall.
  • Perform all assigned planned maintenance services outlined on customers forklifts in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Perform equipment inspections to identify potential problems and safety concerns and document.
  • Record maintenance and repair work completed, process paperwork after the completion of each job and turn paperwork in, in a timely manner.
  • Manage your time and work schedule.
  • Cultivate and maintain customer service skills and maintain a professional image.
  • Maintain company vehicle cleanliness and ensure vehicle is in safe operating condition; complete vehicle checklist as required.
  • Maintain and keep company tools and inventory secure and organized on company truck.
  • Maintain a culture of safety and participate in all safety and company required meetings.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years mechanic experience - Auto mechanic experience beneficial and applicable to a forklift mechanic.
  • Good Mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, internal combustion engines, and hydraulic systems.
  • Good customer service care skills in verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to safely operate lift trucks.
  • Flexible, adaptable and can work in an environment that requires frequent shifts in direction.
  • Enjoys working independently.

Previous Experience and Education

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Mechanical or trade school certificate, beneficial

Physical Requirements

  • Good physical condition and able to stand, twist, walk, pull, lift and bend frequently.
  • Ability to, lift up to, 75 pounds.
  • Able to drive daily.

Schedule

  • 8-hour shifts M-F
  • Day shifts
  • Weekends Off
  • Overtime Available

License and Certification:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Copy of clean driving record.

R&R Offers:
