About the Team
Within Merchant Services, the Payments and Commerce Solutions team is responsible for building an evolving suite of new platforms, products and services that will power millions of businesses globally, from small businesses to large corporate clients. Coupled with J.P. Morgan's comprehensive banking capabilities and global reach, these innovative and commerce-oriented growth initiatives will continue to differentiate us from other banking and FinTech competitors.
Front end services is one of the key building blocks of our omnichannel product.
A successful omnichannel solution provides merchants with a set of non-payment services, in order to bring a seamless experience to the merchant in the usage of the solution together with a set of rich business applications.
The technical services range from remote key injection and key management, terminal onboarding, software updates, terminal security, end to end encryption, terminal connectivity, or self-diagnostics.
The business services allow merchants to use business applications on their terminals (point of sale applications, shopper rating, loyalty, charity etc). Selecting, integrating, securing and operating these business applications is part of the mission.
Job responsibilities
- End-to-end responsibility for front end services: roadmap management in accordance with the vertical strategy, taking full ownership internally as well as externally. This includes working with cross-functional colleagues across the company as well as the Partners to achieve all aspects of the product.
- Make sure that such services are fully integrated on the front end side as well as on the back-end side for reporting and configuration.
- Select the business applications to be integrated in the terminals, in tight relationship with the partnership team.
- Integrate these business applications as well as their back-end services - app store to store, download and manage the various business applications available.
- Knowledge sharing: Enable the rest of the organization to use all aspects of the product you are managing to the maximum, by passing on your knowledge on technical and commercial features
- Commercial Guidance: Grasp commercial offers most effective for your market segment and guide the Sales team on their usage
- Working with other product managers, developments, new features, and bug fixes.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum 5 + yrs. experience in product management and in-store payments
- Requires good knowledge of operational merchant pain points an in-depth knowledge of embedded applications, EMV, security, encryption, network. Deep knowledge of the payments landscape is also required including outside of the US, with the critical thinking skills to comprehend and interpret emerging trends.
- You will liaise with the partnership team and be the key operational contact for the partners that will be integrated in the merchant services solution.
- Exceptional people skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels of management, both internally and externally
- You are able to analyze data and concisely translate that into actions and results
- The role has a commercial side- you're comfortable negotiating with third party partners.
