Local owned and operated Restaurant

Ghostwood, a new and exciting venue in Redwood City serving our Ghostwood Beer, cocktails and full kitchen seeks a strong experienced FOH Lead to support our FOH and BOH staff, reporting to the Owners & General manager. Ghostwood offers significant opportunities for personal growth and career advancement. We are looking for a highly skilled FOH Lead that works well with others and treats customers like family.

Responsibilities:

• Accomplishes restaurant human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
• Communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
• Achieves restaurant operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
• Meets restaurant financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions and a strong understanding of a restaurant P&L.

Requirements:

• Proven working experience as FOH lead over 1 year.
• Demonstrated experience in customer service management
• Proficiency in English & Spanish(helpful but not required)
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Word & Excel/Google Docs/Sheets), ability to create and follow spreadsheets
• Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
• Acute financial management skills
• Knowledge of TOAST POS is preferred but not required.
