Office Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule patients accurately and timely
  • Prepare new patient registration packets, and required documents
  • Greet patients, provide patients initial paperwork, and obtain copies of insurance and identification cards.
  • Register patients, update patient records in the computer, and verify insurance accurately and timely
  • Follow procedures related to workers’ compensation and occupational medicine patients
  • Determine, collect, and process patient payments
  • Collect copays and co insurance, providing patient documentation
  • Respond promptly to customer needs, provide excellent customer service, assist patients with follow-up appointments, and fulfill medical documentation requests
  • Balance daily patient charges (cash, check, credit cards) against system reports
  • Prepare closing documents and submit required reports
  • Prepare and sign the deposit
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation.
  • Regular attendance to ensure efficient clinic operations
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job duty summary: We are a computer based clinic. Schedule patients, check patients in and out, verify insurance, collect copay's and coinsurance, maintain patient records and accounts. Maintain patient flow. Provide positive patient relations.

Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent. Previous medical clerical experience preferred. Basic computer knowledge, e.g., Microsoft Office., Excel and accounting software, etc. Detail oriented, accuracy necessary! Positive customer service skills. Well-groomed appearance. Clear and articulate phone voice. Be a team player.
