Job Summary: The Hotel Front Desk Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the front desk operations at the hotel, including guest check-in and check-out, room reservations, guest inquiries and requests, and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. The Manager will also be responsible for supervising and training front desk staff, maintaining accurate records and reports, and ensuring compliance with all hotel policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of front desk operations, including guest check-in and check-out, room reservations, guest inquiries and requests, and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Supervise and train front desk staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance management. Covering shifts when call offs are present.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and employees.
  • Manage and monitor financial performance, including revenue generation, expense management, and budgeting.
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market share.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture by promoting teamwork, communication, and mutual respect among all employees. • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including health and safety, labor laws, and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with guests, vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports and analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Respond to guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner. • Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the front desk area, including equipment and supplies.
  • Manage inventory levels and control costs through effective ordering and storage practices.
  • Implement and maintain high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  • Represent the hotel in public relations activities, media interviews, and community events.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to stay up to date on industry trends and network with other professionals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in front desk operations, with at least 2 years of experience in a management role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with guests, employees, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire employees to achieve their goals.
  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to analyze financial data and develop and manage budgets.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving revenue growth.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Knowledge of hotel policies and procedures, safety and security protocols, and customer service best practices.
  • Proficient in using hotel management software and other computer applications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
