Discover Books is immediately hiring energetic hard-workers. We require minimal warehouse / employment experience and offer on-the-job training. This is an ideal position for both experienced and entry-level candidates who are motivated individuals interested in working now ! Shift Options:

• * Friday - Monday / 7:00am - 5:30pm (FT Weekend Shift) or
• Saturday -Sunday / 7:00am - 5:30pm (PT Weekend Shift)

* DB requires that all employess be available for mandatory overtime which may occur on an additional day of the week

Role and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):

• Read orders accurately
• Enter information into the system accurately & properly
• Locate books in the warehouse according to customer order specifications
• Organize books according to condition
• Follow department procedures regarding proper processing, sorting, and packaging
• Stage product for loading/supply line as needed using a manual pallet jack
• Tag inventory & place in designated areas using a manual pallet jack
• Package product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)
• Manage workflow & keeping work areas clean & organized

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds throughout the shift, with minimal breaks of no longer than 10-15 minutes
• Must be able to stand for 10+ hours a day
• Ability to learn and apply new concepts, communicate easily, and come up with solutions to problems
• Must have the ability to climb, stand, push, and pull at least 65 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
• Self-starter – Must be able to work with little supervision
• Excellent attendance and punctuality are required; Ability to work overtime as needed
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend conversational English to be able to read stock orders, safety rules, and instructions in the use of equipment
• Safety oriented

Optional:

• Manual pallet jack experience
