JOB SUMMARY
Located in Black Diamond, Washington PCC is seeking a devoted, skilled and energetic Full-Charge Bookkeeper and Office Manager to work on-site; Monday to Friday 8 am - 4 pm or, alternatively, 4-10 hour days.
The qualified candidate is a self-motivated Bookkeeper and Office Manager with strong experience in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (intermediate levels). In this role you will be expected to:
- Maintain financial records; enter invoices in the accounting system; and reconcile account statements
- Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare reports and financial statements
- Participate in regular tax audits
- Assist in preparing budgeting reports and forecast revenues
- Manage month-end and year-end closing
- Organize financial data into usable information and maintain updated records
- Process company payroll
Other accounting duties may also include:
- Assist in tracking the progress of financial and accounting objectives
- Help to establish accounting policies and procedures, in alignment with company’s targets
Additionally, PCC’s small office requires some office management, those duties include:
- Assist in managing day-to-day customer service operations, including scheduling product deliveries, phone and email communications
- Ordering supplies and ensuring that the office is running smoothly
- Maintain accurate records of company expenses, accounts payable and receivable
- Maintain employee records, including; Paid Time Off (PTO), calculating time cards, and direct deposits
- Manage payroll
- Maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers, ensuring quality service and timely payment
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Proven work experience as a Controller/Bookkeeper
- Expert experience with accounting software
- Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas)
- Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- A self starter
- Ability to engage with internal staff as well as external customers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent sense of organization and attention to detail
- Excellent phone and customer service skills
- Dependable, reliable and punctual
- Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and verbal communications
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Advance knowledge with 5+ years of experience with QuickBooks or equivalent software
- Advance knowledge with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, etc.) - Intermediate Level
- Perform independently the full accounting cycle
- 5 + years of office management experience
- Strong time-management and people skills, high degree of flexibility, and excellent multitasking ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Experience with software implementation a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred; or the equivalent of 5+ years of experience.
