The Company:

Our client is a top chemical services provider and has been servicing the Houston area for over 20 years. They believe that their people are their most important asset, which is why they are home to the top management, supervision, and craft in the industry. They are looking for a full-time direct-hire Senior Accountantto join their team for $76K-$90K. This position is located in the Baytown area.

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate would have extensive accounting experience and would preferably have experience doing accounting for a construction / turnaround environment. They would have an advanced knowledge in Excel and would be able to use pivot tables and V-Lookups. This candidate would have a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.

The Expectations:

• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Responsible for bank reconciliations.
• Daily, weekly, monthly journal entry and supporting schedule maintenance.
• Assist with the preparation of periodic financial statements and reports.
• Fixed Asset tracking
• Assist with external audits and provide required statements and information for annual audits.
• Identifies and recommends process improvements and update policies and/or procedures accordingly.
• Complies with local, state, and federal government requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The Goal:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the general accounting transactions of the Company.

The Experience and Education:

• Accounting experience
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or BA
• MS Office proficiency
• Construction / turn around accounting experience
