Trianon Salon, located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago, is seeking a Full-time Salon Apprentice that will provide outstanding service for our guests. This is a fantastic opportunity to dive deeper into the craft of doing hair in a nurturing environment alongside highly experienced industry professionals. Must have a current cosmetology license or a pending test date with Illinois state board.

Ideal Candidacy Includes:

• Ability for 35-40 hr per week (typical hours are approx. 12-8PM Tues-Friday and 9AM-6PM Saturdays)
• Illinois State Cosmetology License *required* (Graduated students with pending test date also accepted)
• Must have the ability to work efficiently, be a great team player, and multitasker

Apprenticeship Details:

• You can choose to specialize in color, hair cutting/styling, or both
• Classes are held twice a week + you get paid to attend class
• Once graduated and taking clients on the floor: 50% commission on services & 10% retail commission (must meet a minimum per month)
• Health Insurance Benefits (30+ hrs required per week + Trianon pays 50% of this cost)

Duties will include:

• Shampooing and blow drying our guests
• Assisting stylists as needed
• General salon upkeep throughout the workday (sweeping hair, washing tools/dishes, laundry, light cleaning, and sanitizing according to state requirements due to Covid-19 after each guest)
• Closing duties (cleaning/sanitizing/organizing the salon) at end of day to be prepared for the next business day.
