Summary:
Wanted: Versatile, proactive news reporter to serve as the sole/lead reporter for the Nashoba Valley Voice, a weekly serving north central Massachusetts; capable of writing in-depth news stories that could also get publication in daily newspapers in Fitchburg and Lowell, Mass. This do-it-all role will need to cover it all, from government to features to sports.
What you will do:

Produce high-quality daily coverage including but not limited to analysis, breaking news, features, enterprise stories, columns and other creative ways to connect with a hungry audience

Develop sources to break news and advance news stories with original angles

Generate enterprise ideas as well as take assignments from editors

Commit to the work it takes to deliver clean copy and accurate information at all times

Communicate constructively and effectively with colleagues
What you will bring:

Familiarity with AP style
-
At least one year of experience writing for a news publication

Photography skills, or the ability to develop them

Lives in or a commutable distance from the Nashoba Valley communities of: Ayer, Devens, Dunstable, Groton, Pepperell, Shirley and Townsend

Some copy editing experience a plus
