Delta Hotels by Marriott Racine is looking for a General Manager who can Function as the primary strategic business leader of the property with responsibility for all aspects of the operation, including guest and employee satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales and revenue generation and delivering a return on investment to both Marriott International and property ownership. The position ensures Marriott International sales engines are leveraged and initiates independent and proactive sales activities, when appropriate, to generate demand.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· General Manager Experience in full-service property.

· Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and late nights.

· Property industry work experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.

· Works closely with Sales and Marketing team to develop revenue generating strategies for property

· Identifies new business leads, develops tailored sales approach, and actively pursues leads with Sales and marketing team; ensures sales and marketing strategy is aligned with brand strategy and is effectively executed against established goals.

· Ensures property leaders understand and leverage Marriott demand engines to full potential; augments guest preference for property through booking ease and quality interactions with sales force.

· Interacts with guests and other customers on a frequent basis to obtain feedback about their experiences on property.

• Leads and manages the day-to-day operations and assignments of the hotel. Plan and organize work, communicate goals and schedule/assign work. Advise staff of formal policies and procedures, identify options, adhere to compliances and resolve issues.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, employees and hotel assets. Maintain and monitor Workers Compensation and safety compliance goals. Comply with all State and Federal standards and inspection requirements.

Education and Experience:

• Experience in operations or some prior general management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Type and level of experience required may vary slightly based on size and complexity of operation.
• Must speak fluent English. Other languages preferred.
• Communications skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
• Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when completing paperwork and management reports, interpreting results, giving and receiving instructions, and training.
• Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances are utilized frequently.
• Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organization and training abilities are used often.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
