The Brews Hall, located on the Hermosa pier and steps from the beach, is hiring a General Manager!
- Be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant and bar operations.
- Actively run the business, ensuring budgeted numbers are hit or exceeded, while maintaining the integrity of a great guest experience.
- Ensure all California labor laws are being followed.
- Work in conjunction with the marketing department to create promotions and events at the restaurant, finding every opportunity to build revenue while maintaining excellent service and hospitality. Ensure entertainment is top notch.
- Actively promote the restaurant inside and outside of its four walls.
- Ensure all safety practices are being adhered to including COVID and other Health Department protocols.
- Responsible for setting a tone of engagement, positivity, fun and focus for the entire Front of House and Back of House team. Ensure onboarding and training are top notch, and hold inspiring team meetings as needed.
- Above all else, be the embodiment of gracious hospitality to employees and guests alike. Ensure that we retain top talent and that every guest leaves The Brews Hall raving about their experience and excited to come back.
- At least 2 years prior experience as a Restaurant General Manager at a full-service concept.
- A flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays, etc).
- A background in the bar/nightlife industry, preferably in Hermosa/South Bay.
- Experience with restaurant/bar marketing, social media, and entertainment booking (strong social media following is a plus).
- Strong beverage knowledge, including craft beer, spirits, and wine.
- Strong financial understanding of budgeting, inventory, and P&L’s.
- The desire and ability to be “the mayor of your village”. You engage with every guest and make them want to come back again and again. Hospitality is at the core of everything we do.
- The desire and ability to network outside the four walls of your restaurant, building business through being an active part of the South Bay community.
- A track record as a positive leader. A lot of people will be looking to you for guidance. Inspire them and hold them accountable to do their jobs well.
