Job description
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees seeking assistance from Human Resources.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date centralized employee files and regulatory required documentation.
- Assist with keeping all reports and various tracking metrics up to date (new hire, terminations, temp. assignments, etc.).
- Responsible for ensuring all on-line personnel files are compliant and appropriately managed as per document retention requirements.
- Assist with preparation of employee termination process.
- Support execution of employee recognition programs, service awards, retirements, and employee events.
- Assist with Covid-19 contact tracing, communication, tracking and updates.
- Enter and maintain employee HRIS data and communicate with payroll to validate changes as needed.
- Assist with recruitment initiatives, employee conversions and onboarding process; to include employee orientations, I-9 document verification and tracking of work visa expiration.
- Assist with updating job descriptions as needed.
- Respond to requests on garnishments, employment verification, EDD, etc., and partner with payroll as required.
- Assist with employee benefits enrollment, general employee questions and follow up.
- Assist with document gathering when responding to legal requests.
- Communicate with temporary agencies to coordinate incoming temporary employees and confirm work assignment status.
- Partner with the Safety team on Workers Compensation requests.
- Administer leave of absences (LOA) process and provide ongoing updates to Supervisors.
- Provide LOA documentation and answer employee questions.
- Track and update LOA reports and provide weekly updates.
- Ensure return to duty requirements are met and reinstatement of employees in HRIS system are completed.
- Assist with employee HR-related training.
- Other duties / projects as required.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business Administration or relevant field, preferred but not required.
- 3+ years prior Human Resources experience.
- Strong computer skills including working with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ORACLE systems.
- General knowledge of various employment laws.
- Juggle competing prioritize and changing expectations.
- Work independently under general direction.
- Bilingual English and Spanish required.

The base salary range for this position is $55,203 - $75,899. If you are hired, your base pay rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base pay range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued wage growth.
