EST, Inc. is seeking a GIS Technician / Specialist for our growing offices in Oklahoma City. Job Description and Responsibilities:

The GIS Technician / Specialist is responsible for ensuring adoption of GIS technologies, including tasks such as data collection and development, data QA/QC, general analysis, and map production on GIS software. Perform GIS analytical and geo-processing functions including input, editing, manipulation, management, analysis, and output of spatial and tabular data sets using ArcGIS Pro or other GIS software. Develop vector spatial analysis models using ModelBuilder, Python, or other GIS scripting languages. Develop geodatabase schemas and analysis methods needed to support project goals. Prepare written documentation describing methodologies/procedures and prepare exhibits. Maintain GIS data and cataloging system.

Candidates must possess:

• Ability to work in ArcGIS Pro
• Publish GIS data to secure web-based applications utilizing ArcGIS Online.
• Checks accuracy of own work.
• Works independently and pays attention to details and timelines.
• Interprets and enters field data into various GIS formats and provides support functions.
• Works to resolve discrepancies to assure that data reflects accurate field conditions.
• Maintain and manage local data to make updates to maps as new data is received.
• Providing utility and construction companies updated data as necessary.
• Provide instruction in any operation of equipment, software and/or data involving GIS.
• Converts GIS data to CAD Software formats.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cartography, Geography, GIS, or related degree OR
• 2 year(s) of directly related GIS Specialist experience (preferably ESRI)
• Utility, Right of Way, Real Estate, or Transportation experience is a plus.
• Understanding of GPS data, including data correction with re-projection and coordinate system manipulation.
