Job Title: Global IT Program Director - AMAS

As Global IT Program Director - AMAS, this position drives the IT scope of strategic transformational inititives for The Arkema Group globally related to the SAP AMbition Roadmap, SAP S4 conversion and other associtated global porjects.
This position is responsible for the overall management of tghe project, from its inception to its completion, including the developmentof project plans, schedules and budgets.


KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Strategic Leadership

  • Contribute to application and/or vendor evaluations and strategies with IT and procurement.
  • Contribute technical components of RFI/RFP process.
  • Contribute to development of applications and vendor strategies.
  • Liaise between IT and BU leaders to understand the business needs and help identify and solve issues to meet business goals.
  • Provide strategic direction, vision, and roadmap at the Leadership, Business and Technical Group Levels related to assigned projects.


Governance & Program Management

  • Set Governance Structure for each IT Project; includes over 120+ projects completed each year, many global in nature, led out of the US and implemented globally.
  • Responsible for managing any conflicts or issues that arise during the project and ensure that all stakeholders are kept informed of progress and any changes to project plans.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders, and communicate regularly with project teams to ensure that everyone is aligned on project objectives and priorities.
  • Manages the technical scope of multiple projects with leadership skills, business process knowledge and technical expertise.
  • Monitor the progress of the project and adjust plans as necessary to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Responsible for financial management, including developing and managing budgets, forecasting costs, monitoring expenses, and ensuring that the project remains within budget.
  • Manage global and regional contributions to global projects. Ensures and co-leads global support process to be developed and communicated.
  • Plans and prioritizes work and assignments across the global organization, with management, with business process owners, and related integration across IT organizations.
  • Manage requirements definition, research, specifications documentation, matching functionality with business needs, technical design, configuration, testing, cutover, go live and hyper care including required documentation.
  • Manage data and integration activities for projects, many efforts include all US business units.
  • Ensures system design aligns with business process design. May manage training development and execution.
  • Manage requirements gathering and analysis of systems issues and definition of solution alternatives.
  • Manage directly or oversee project leaders, to implement small through large projects. Scope may be regional or global.
  • Facilitate business process design and has responsibility for technical process designs.
  • Responsible for escalating the issues and decisions to Project Steering Committee.
  • Responsible for risk analysis and management during project lifecycle.
  • Consult with business process owners, management, and other IT departments on various areas of expertise.
  • Manage vendor relationships as part of projects.
  • Responsible for project specific supplier, contract, and budget management.
  • Contributes to organizational change management efforts in alignment with project timelines, co-developing a comprehensive training plan which is tailored to different user groups, and delivered through a combination of classroom training, e-learning, job aids, and coaching.


Contribute to iTeam and Corporate Processes

  • Develop talent via mentoring and coaching.
  • Contribute to performance management process for project resources by providing feedback to direct managers.
  • Contribute to business relationship management process.
  • Lead, contribute and/or promote continuous improvement initiatives in IT and/or company.
  • Contribute to managing vendor relationships, identifying/resolving issues, contracting for project resources.
  • Contribute to annual budget process.


REQUIRED EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS /WORK EXPERIENCE


  • MBA Degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of business processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent Project and Program Management Skills.
  • Should have excellent written and verbal skills and be comfortable presenting to senior executives regularly.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in applying systems solution to business needs, including leading IT projects and teams to successful completion through consultation, and by applying appropriate project management skills/methodology and technical/business/professional knowledge
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience directly managing three or more people in an IT applications department or on IT projects.
  • Minimum of 10 years project management experience, including large projects. Including the ability to collaborate with and advise business partners and management with respect to project scope, planning, costs and resources to deliver on project goals.
  • Proficiency in technical/business/professional aspects of systems/applications/tools, including SAP.
  • Knowledge of SAAS & Managed Services.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in some of the following SAP modules: FICO, SD, MM, PP, LE, WM, BW/BI, GTS and PM as well as integration experience with non-SAP applications and integration with other SAP modules.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with various SAP tools to deliver functionality and integration including: IMG/Configuration, ABAP, SmartForms, RFC, ALE, IDOC, ALV, LSMW, etc. as well as PC office tools, application reporting tools and customization tools.
