Job description
The GMP Manager will report to the C&W Services Regional Manager and ensure the successful performance of a variety of Janitorial and Sanitation duties for C&W Services. The Sanitation Manager will have financial responsibility the account assuring compliance with budget expectations. Such duties shall be in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures of C&W Services and the client.
Compensation Range: $65k-$70k, based on experience
Typical Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Implement Corporate Sanitation policies and procedures
· Conducts regular meetings with the plant management and/or USDA to discuss sanitation findings
· Training all appropriate personnel on sanitation procedures
· Develop sanitation procedures for new equipment new plant areas as needed
· Developing, implementing, and maintaining sanitation procedures and programs for areas assigned
· Monitor adherence to sanitation program policies, procedures in the plant environment and ensure the cleaning regime is in place and adhered to
· Develop and implement sanitation SOPs and specific training for sanitation
· Responsible for master sanitation schedule and compliance to the requirements of the GMP, HACCP, and Allergen programs
· Review sanitary procedures and recommend or change as needed
· Work with the Head of Quality and Sanitation Manager to improve and implement sanitation programs
· Builds the team by developing hourly sanitation associates
· Track all sanitation activities on the Master Sanitation Scorecard while also completing KPI reports for both internal and external review
· Monitor and adjust financial needs to comply with the Account Budget
· Develops, approves sanitation personnel work schedules and timecards
Requirements:
- 4-year degree in Quality or Food Science related field (Preferred)
- Associates Degree in a technical or business-related field (Accepted)
- Minimum of 3-5 years with increasing responsibility in a food manufacturing or consumer product industry
- Ability to conduct physical work
- Must be able to take direction, to work with minimal supervision, and to function cooperatively as part of a team
- Ability to create and execute training for sanitation personnel regarding quality system topics including but not limited to GMP, HACCP, food safety/security
- Ensure prompt investigation on all customer feedback, including consumer and field complaints, food safety issues, and community feedback to environmental issues
- Must be able to direct delegate and assign tasks to janitorial and sanitation employees
- List any licenses or certifications such as: HACCP, SQF, GFSI, SAP, PI, SOP, PCQI, APICS
