Overview:
This position serves as a grant liaison for the Biomedical Research Section. This position is responsible for working collaboratively with Biomedical Research Section Staff in implementing program requirements. This position assists with the daily operations associated with the grant application process, working with grant recipients and research center staff, advisory council meetings, and related activities. This position requires considerable exercise of independent judgment, excellent interpersonal skills, good computer skills, and the ability to perform against high standards of excellence. This position is located in Tallahassee.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and monitor research grants.
- Complete all required forms and assure the effective approval process to execute grants.
- Work with the advisory council to implement recommendations as it relates to research grants.
- Assist with daily operations associated with grant application processes.
- Work closely with grant recipients, research center staff, advisory council meetings.
- Maintain complete grant folders, forms, and monitor associated budgets.
- Complete data reports as requested and support the development of annual reports on the progress of research.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong attention to detail.

- Budgeting and accounting experience.
- Computer literacy.
- Knowledge of auditing policies.
