Pennington Biomedical Research Center
, a world-renowned academic research institute of Louisiana State University, is seeking a Graphic Designer to join the Communications and Marketing team.
Under the Direction of the Manager of Web Design, the Graphic Designer will assists the Communications and Marketing Department with design projects, website updates, and other communications & marketing needs.
Job Responsibilities
-
Creates both digital design (web pages, digital graphics, slide shows, social media, html emails) and traditional design (print projects, signage, and other communications and marketing materials), while maintaining the integrity of the PBRC branding system.

Maintains sections of the PBRC website, and affiliated sites.

Ability to balance and maintains multiple projects at the same time.

Meet with faculty, staff, and departments to gain an understanding and provide recommendations of what their proposed communications should look like.

Create or incorporate illustrations, pictures, and designs to reflect the desired theme and tone of the communications.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field
-
Minimum of one year of graphic design experience
-
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign Experience with HTML and CSS
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills
-
Strong organizational and time management skills
-
Willingness and ability to continually learn new software, programming languages, and technology necessary to drive project success
-
Preferred qualifications: Web Content Management Systems, JavaScript, Video production and editing, especially Adobe Premiere, Photography and/or photo editing
