Graphic Designer
Job Responsibilities
Truman State University’s Publications Office is seeking a graphic designer. This position requires excellent concept and design skills. The individual must be able to produce high quality designs and be able to multi-task various projects, prioritizing them to meet tight deadlines. Accuracy is a must. Successful candidate must have experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat. Candidate needs to have a strong knowledge of producing publications for both print and digital needs. The candidate needs to have strong written and oral communication skills. A high standard for quality of work and professionalism is expected. This person will work with a variety of clients, including staff, faculty, students and vendors. The candidate needs to have a good understanding of branding and how to work within the guidelines of Truman’s brand requirements. The candidate will work with a variety of design projects and other duties as assigned. This is a full-time, on-site position.
Required Qualifications
A bachelors’ degree in design or related field with a minimum of two years of experience (or an associates’ degree with a minimum of three years of experience) in graphic design . Must have a strong working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat. A working knowledge of Microsoft applications is needed. The ability to produce some illustrations. Strong written and oral communication skills are required. Must have the ability to pay attention to detail, be accurate, and work with a variety of people. The ability to prioritize and manage multiple jobs.
Preferred Qualifications
Mac experience. Ability to work with variable data. Strong illustration skills. Ability to create animated gifs.

Salary
The salary for this position is $35,000 to 45,000.
