Job description
Creates a positive first impression of the community with regular maintenance of the grounds, paths, walkways, lighting, gardens, entryways and parking areas.
Clears debris, removes trash and maintains grounds and walkways in safe condition, including:
Leaf blowing and removal
Emptying the trash cans and recycling pickup, and helping to clear and maintain the trash rooms
Arranging, cleaning and maintaining the condition of the outdoor furniture
Pressure washing areas on a regularly scheduled basis
Watering plants as assigned
Cleaning and maintaining the condition of entry ways, patio areas, outdoor lighting and other areas as assigned
Inspecting and maintaining the condition of the watering hoses
Removing snow and ice as required during inclement weather conditions
Other duties as assigned
This part-time opportunity is for the following schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-11am (Saturday & Sunday availability required based on business needs)

The Mather is a Life Plan Community for those age 62 and better. Our staff of professionals is committed to providing excellent service and a warm atmosphere for residents, visitors, and staff. The Mather is in Evanston, Illinois, close to downtown and public transportation. The Mather includes 240 independent living apartment homes, as well as assisted living, memory care, long-term care, and rehabilitation services, along with multiple restaurants, a fitness center, art studio, gardens, and more.
The Mather is located at 425 Davis Street in Evanston.
