GROUP HOME DIRECT SERVICE PROFESSIONAL for adults with intellectual disabilities SUNDAY SHIFT

Sign On Bonus of $1000 ($500 at 3 months and $500 at 6 months--must average 20 hours weekly) and more --it is a great time to join LIFE!

At LIFE, we support adults with autism, learning and intellectual disabilities in their pursuit of a meaningful, healthy independent life, for LIFE.

We are happy to work with flexible applicants who are a match to the position to build them a schedule that works with their personal life. Listed below are the ideal shifts and locations we are looking for at this time.

HYANNIS GROUP HOME SUNDAY 9AM-9PM

This is a co-ed higher medical need home of 4 individuals and therefore there are some additional PAY differentials--

• $18.50 per hour to work on Sundays 9AM-9PM!--See below
• $16.50 per hour REGULAR PAYRATE
• +$1.00 per hour for all hours WORKED (in this home)
• +$1.00 per hour for all hours worked on Sundays between 9AM and 9PM!!!

We will work with you to try to work out a larger schedule that works for your life and ours, if you desire more hours. In addition--we do love having a few staff as Relief--so you work when we have a need and you want to work.

The support of these active and heart-warming residents is done through:

• Instruction, guidance and by serving as a positive example to these active adults
• Assisting them to maximize and maintain their independence in their home and in the community by assisting with life skills --cooking, planning, and reviewing daily/weekly schedules, cleaning
• Assisting in preparation for their morning, evening or overnight routines as needed, etc. and on errands and social activities in the community or virtually.
• Role modelling and maintaining sanitary conditions of workspaces and vehicles and complying with LIFE guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (e.g., uses PPE as required for the conditions, social distancing, etc.)
• Applicant must be able to project a positive and patient personality and provide ongoing support, interaction, and encouragement to our clients.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be +18 years old
• MUST BE KIND, PATIENT and HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR
• MUST be able to stand, walk, support, and lift as necessary to support the residents of this home
• Valid driver's license required with acceptable driving record and reliable transportation (mileage is reimbursed on the rare occasion when driving your personal vehicle is needed.)
• Must be able to effectively communicate in both verbal and written form with supported individuals, co-workers, and parents
• Must be able to manage an individual e-mail account and basic computer entries as needed
• Must be dependable
• Must be willing to complete and/or attend required training classes including CPR/First Aid and MAP Training (provided by LIFE)
• Per the state of MA DDS, MUST be able to pass CORI, DPPC and Fingerprint check and have an MVR record acceptable to LIFE's Auto Insurance carrier
