Job Description: Group Leader/Shipping & Receiving

Reports To: Ship/Rec Supervisor

Job Summary
Under limited supervision, prepares product for shipping, performs a variety of routine shipping and receiving tasks. Ensure quantity and labeling are correct on all shipments detail orientated a must. Under the direction of the Ship/Rec Supervisor ensures materials are ready and staged for shipments; ensures quantity, labeling & quality of production gives directions and support to Forklift Drivers. Other duties as required by Management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Direct hourly employees in the positions of Forklift and Dock Audit.
Send/Receive Electronic Data Interchange Transmissions using Base 2 system.
Prepare staging, scanning and printing labels for mass production and service part shipments.
Check all incoming shipments for accurate quantities forwarding documentation to appropriate departments.
Use PNP Base System for all Batch Builds
Fill out and send NCP(Nissan) and SPAN(SIA) documents for abnormal shipments.
Set up shipping documentation for outgoing materials including UPS/Fed Ex etc.
Contact trucking companies concerning pickups and deliveries.
Assist Production/Inventory Control as needed; cycle counts, data entry, filing, and inventory.
Support Receiving Coordinator
Material Handler – JAI will provide forklift training.
Must be able to work flexible hours.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Participate in Kaizen activities
2. Notify supervisor of quality discrepancies
3. Label and wrap skids
4. Conduct inventory from direction of Warehouse Supervisor
5. Creating and maintaining work instructions
Qualifications
Experience in a factory setting & supervision; Accuracy in recordkeeping, following directions, adaptability, team – oriented, able to accept change and require little or no supervision. Education & Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Data entry working with software programs.
Language & Communication Skills
English language required. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.

4. Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers
5. Ability to understand and follow safety procedures

7. Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods
8. Knowledge of postal or commercial shipping methods and procedures
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend, twist, and walk. Also includes lifting, push/pull, and grasping. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Work Environment

Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals.
