Roamstead was established to welcome all adventurers to experience the magic of the outdoors through genuine hospitality and elevated design. We seek to operate modernized campgrounds that offer cabins, camper hookups, glamping, and tent sites. All this, to invite brand new campers to the outdoors while enhancing the experience for seasoned nature-lovers.
Roamstead Management, LLC is looking for a qualified and highly motivated Guest Experience Associate for its new Smoky Mountain location. This individual will assist in running all lodge and guest experience items for the campground which will feature approximately 87 accommodations, including camper spaces, cabins, lodge rooms, yurts, and tent sites.
Roamstead Management, LLC seeks to differentiate from other campgrounds by infusing the consistency of service level and cleanliness found in boutique hotels.
Our Guest Experience Associate will often be the first point of interaction between guests and the Roamstead brand. As such, the candidate should be passionate about providing a high level of customer service and dedicated to making each guest feel welcome and comfortable during their stay.
Due to the dynamic nature of outdoor hospitality, the ideal candidate will need to be able to juggle multiple tasks, adjusting daily to any changes or issues that arise. Will be able to communicate effectively and respectfully to all, including guests and team members.
A background with at least 2 years of hospitality experience in guest relations preferred.
Both full and part-time positions are available.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greet guests upon check-in and ensure they have everything they need for a comfortable stay.
- Share knowledge of the area and recommendations for activities, restaurants, etc.
- Actively look for opportunities to improve the guest experience
- Solve guest requests/problems in a timely manner
- Operate reservation software: take/cancel/move reservations over the phone, and according to Roamstead’s policies.
- Make and serve simple food items, coffee/espresso drinks, beer, and draft cocktails.
- Ensure F&B and Retail is fully stocked, organized, and merchandised correctly.
- Lead on-site guest activities, including but not limited to crafts, scavenger hunts, special events, live music, etc.
- Ensure property remains clean and safe for all guests, communicating needs to maintenance and housekeeping staff.
- Communicate frequently with management about opportunities for improvement
- Work together, assisting teammates as needed to ensure a memorable guest experience
- Perform any other duties as requested by management.
Preferred qualifications include:
- A passion for the outdoors and for people
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of experience in hospitality/guest services
- Commitment to delivering top notch customer service
- Experience in food and beverage operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suite applications
- Well groomed and have pride in appearance.
Important Information:
- Must be able to work outside for long periods of time, in all weather conditions
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to obtain permit to serve alcohol in State of TN
- Must be able to walk or maneuver over uneven natural walking surfaces
- Must be able to operate property vehicles
- Roamstead is a non-smoking, tobacco free property
Compensation and bonus structure are based on experience and expertise. Benefits available to full time employees.
