HANDBOOK CONSULTANT

When an HR issue arises and our clients need timely advice, our team of expert consultants is on it! Our team is always standing by to be the trusted, knowledgeable, and empathetic advisors our clients need, whether its a question about employee handbooks and complex HR laws, to compliance matters and hiring multi-state employees. We help clients achieve their business goals while minimizing HR risks that negatively impact their organization.

You'll ensure that the company's and clients' employee handbooks, addendums, PTO and other handbook policy requests are reviewed, assigned, and completed in a timely, efficient & accurate manner. This role requires the individual to keep up-to-date with HR regulatory compliance changes and share knowledge with clients and team members.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Efficiently assess, prioritize and complete incoming handbook requests.
  • Manage/improve handbook process to ensure timely & accurate completion of handbook requests.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to client inquiries.
  • Identify and take ownership of software solutions to enable significant scaling of service capacity while preserving high service standards and ensuring proper compliance.


WHAT WE'D LIKE FOR YOU TO HAVE

  • Experience
    • 5+ years of experience working in HR or labor and employment law.
    • Prior experience working with varying levels of leadership within an organization (C-suite, Small Business Owners, Front Line Supervisors, etc.) is required.
    • Certifications including SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP are a plus.
  • Ability to establish partner relationships with clients by being Regarded as visible and accessible.
  • Able to effectively communicate one to one, in small groups or public speaking settings.
  • Strong written communication skills demonstrated in writing clear, precise, well-organized emails, memos, letters, and proposals while using appropriate vocabulary, grammar, and word usage, and creating the appropriate "tone.
  • Affinity to Identifies significant problems and opportunities. Analyzes problems in depth. Able to determine root causes by exhibiting a probing mind.
  • Strong Integrity by not ethically cutting corners. Earns the and respect trust of coworkers and clients. Consistently does the right thing.
  • Active listening skills by "tuning in" accurately to the opinions, feelings, and needs of people. Understands impact of one's behavior on others. Empathetic. Patient. Lets others speak. Able to summarize and repeat a person's point of view.
  • Strong Organizational Skills. Ability to plan, organize, and schedule in an efficient productive manner.
  • Confidence in judgment and decision making.
  • Ability to build cross functional relationships across departments. Always willing to lend a helping hand.
