Defiance Public Library System

• 20 hours / week (days, evenings, weekends) at Defiance Public Library & Branch Locations in Hicksville & Sherwood, as needed.

• Starting range $15.00 - $15.61/ hour

Be part of a well-supported and loved public library system! The ideal applicant should have basic mechanical understanding and experience making minor building repairs. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively and to successfully meet deadlines is essential.

DUTIES:

The Handyperson is responsible for completing minor building repairs and maintenance along with other duties. They will work with the Chief Fiscal Officer and Deputy Fiscal Officer to arrange outside contractors for larger jobs. This position reports to the Chief Fiscal Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS:

An even-keeled temperament and skill handling the unexpected. Experience with building repairs and mechanical systems. A current Ohio driver’s license. Comfort using a computer, email, and willingness to learn new technology as needed.
