Hillsview Municipal Golf Course is looking for a Head Professional.
Position Description:
The Head Golf Professional will manage and oversee the golf operation. The successful candidate will own the merchandise, food and snack bar concession and charge patrons reasonable prices. Providing quality instruction for both juniors and adults, managing the driving range, renting golf equipment (bags, clubs, pull carts, etc.), renting and staging golf cars, hiring/ training the staff are part of the job description. Other key success factors include:
- Golf operations- to include generating play / maximizing rounds, golf instruction/ clinics, junior golf instruction, player development programs.
- People management- to include customer service/ hospitality, interpersonal skills, staff supervision and training.
- Business/ Fiscal management to include budget development / management, generating / maximizing revenues, generating profits / ROI, financial reporting, verbal/ written communication.
- Other Facility / Departmental Management to include food and beverage/ snack bar, marketing/ promotion, membership recruiting and retention, project development management.
This successful candidate will report to the Parks and Recreation Director and will be considered an independent contractor.
Qualifications
PGA Membership is required and preference will be given to candidates who have achieved an associate's degree.
