- Confers with students, parents and school counselor to resolve student problem
- Selects, stores, orders, issues and inventories equipment, materials and supplies
- Modifies curriculum to teach students with disabilities
- Communicates, collaborates and cooperates with colleagues, supervisors and students
- Follows the district curriculum
- ND Teaching License in health education and FACS for grades 7-12
- Ability to work well with others, resolve controversy and conflict through respectful negotiation, and accept constructive feedback
- Strong communication skills to facilitate connection and sharing of thoughts and ideas in multiple formats with diverse audiences
- Ability to reason, interpret, and analyze information to generate new knowledge and understanding
- Adept at problem-solving, resilient when faced with challenges, and skilled in planning and organization
- Experience working in a secondary school setting preferred

SUMMARY: The health and FACS teacher creates an engaging, nurturing, and safe learning environment that allows students to develop their physical, social, and emotional wellbeing; providing instruction in health, future ready skills, knowledge, and dispositions to be compassionate, lifelong-learners, and contributing citizens in a rapidly changing world. Preference may be given to applicants who can demonstrate proficiency with teaching practices in both health and FACS education.

SALARY: Commensurate with experience and education, the position follows the 2023-2024 Teachers' Salary Schedule (Refer to 2022-2023 Teacher Salary Schedule until new schedule is available.)
The WFPS District funds the entire 11.75% employee contribution to TFFR, as well as the 12.75% employer contribution.
