AgriNorthwest is seeking a hard-working Equipment Operator/CDL Driver to join their collaborative team. The ideal candidate takes initiatives to solve and analyze problems, as well as prioritizes safety while operating farm equipment with a high degree of proficiency to accomplish needs of the farm. The Equipment Operator is also expected to complete regular maintenance, repairs, and preparation of equipment for production operations.

Responsibilities:

• Operate farm equipment including but not limited to graders, semi-tractor trailer, dump truck, water truck, belly dump, backhoes, cranes, road grader, front-end loader, bulldozers, and other ag equipment.
• Retrieve materials from vendors using tractor trailers and deliver to farm in a safe and consistent manner.
• Ensure all locations receive the necessary product to avoid shortages.
• Perform proactive maintenance, service, and as needed field repairs on equipment.
• Train other operators to use the equipment safety and effectively.
• Keep current with all safety devices and emergency shutdown procedures, as well as ensure all devices are functioning at all times including lockout-tagout procedures. Become familiar with MSDS sheets, pesticide labels and application notification procedures and champion the use of appropriate personal protective

Qualifications:

• 4 years demonstrated experience in operating heavy farm equipment.
• Valid, in-state driver’s CDL license with appropriate endorsements for OTR hauling.
• First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Trade school or other relevant education desired.
• Equipped with quality tools, as required, to properly and safely perform job assignments.
• Demonstrated display of high integrity and honesty.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Bilingual Spanish a plus.
• Meet the physical requirements of the role which includes occasional lifting up to 70 pounds, bending, kneeling, and twisting throughout work period. Occasional long-term standing, sitting, and walking during work.

Starting pay is generally set between minimum and midpoint for new hires or developing employees. Individual pay is adjusted as performance is demonstrated and sustained at increasingly competent levels over time. With approval, experienced employees with critical skills may be hired above this guideline.
