Responsibilities:
- Provide relief for all Converting operations on a daily and/or weekly basis in order to maintain continuous quality production on all shifts.
- Responsible for continuous training in order to learn all aspects of the department as well as all product characteristics.
- Able to operate all mobile equipment.
- Responsible to assist in general housekeeping of the department.
- Always maintain a safe work environment.
- Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.
- Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules
- Must be able to work extended hours when required
- All other duties as assigned
- These responsibilities may change in the future to keep up with customer demands, equipment changes and improved Standard Operating Procedures
Qualifications/ Experience:
- Experience in papermaking or manufacturing
- Able to work rotating shifts
Qualifications/Experience Preferred:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Highly motivated
- Strong time management and priorities management skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Computer literate with knowledge of Excel. BPCS experience a plus.
- Ability to interact with vendors and internal customers
- Metrics driven
