Summary

• Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra III
• Salary dependent upon experience
• Evaluate and grade students class work, assignments, and papers.
• Compile, administer, and grade examinations, or assign this work to others.
• Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate or graduate students on topics such as linear algebra, differential equations, and discrete mathematics.
• Prepare course materials, such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
• Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
• Maintain regular class hours to advise and assist students.
• Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, and course materials and methods of instruction.
• Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
• Advise students on academic and vocational curricula and on career issues.
• Collaborate with colleagues to address teaching and research issues.
• Serve on academic or administrative committees that deal with institutional policies, departmental matters, and academic issues.
• Participate in student recruitment, registration, and placement activities.
• Perform administrative duties, such as serving as department head.

• Attend training sessions or professional meetings to develop or maintain professional knowledge.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs.
• Develop instructional objectives.
• Guide class discussions.
• Select educational materials or equipment.
• Implement Advanced Placement Coursework and instructional strategies.

We are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools / Advanc-ED and we strive to challenge our students each and every day. Students utilize a state-of-the-art computer lab and library for learning enhancement. Our students compete in a variety of academic events including Math Olympics, Creative Writing, Spelling Bees, Speech Meets, Science Fairs, and over 17 different sports teams. The early childhood division of the school bases its academic program on a weekly unit of study for academic advancement. Parents may supplement curriculum by bringing in books, materials, or ideas related to the theme for the benefit of the class.
