Carolina Energy Conservation of Myrtle Beach, SC is looking to hire a full-time Home Performance Sales and Install Representative. This position is directly responsible for the installation and selling of Solatube daylighting products & Solar Star Attic Fans. After a paid-training period, this Home Performance Sales and Install Representative position earns a salary plus commission with the goal of eventually working to a 100%-commission-based position. This outside sales job has an earning potential of $80,000 - $100,000 the first year and $100,000 - $150,000 the next year. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HOME PERFORMANCE SALES AND INSTALL REPRESENTATIVE

As a Home Performance Sales and Install Representative, you start each day ready to personally connect with clients and offer them the best possible solutions for their home energy needs. You arrive at preset and qualified appointments at customers' homes within a 2-mile radius of our Myrtle Beach headquarters. After warmly greeting each client and listening to concerns, you perform a home audit and recommend appropriate energy retrofit, attic & crawlspace encapsulation, and solar system solutions. You explain the associated benefits honestly, clearly, and accurately. Using your closing skills, you offer solutions for any concerns-including financing options. You promptly submit a detailed job proposal that includes the photos, instructions, required inventory, customer's accomplish list, pricing list, and total price for the job.

You are a self-starter who has enthusiastically taken off with selling our products and services which you truly believe in. You carefully keep track of customers and prospects in our customer relationship management (CRM) software and always follow-up! Goal-driven, you attend all sales trainings-including role play with the other sales team members and consultations with the sales manager. You also regularly attend building science sessions to improve overall industry knowledge, as well as attend trade shows and conduct home energy seminars to develop leads. As a result, you are very successful in this position. You enjoy meeting new people and working at new locations. At the end of each day, you feel great about having facilitated more energy-efficient homes at fair prices for your clients.


QUALIFICATIONS FOR A HOME PERFORMANCE SALES AND INSTALL REPRESENTATIVE

  • Ability to perform full energy audits for homeowners
  • Ability to quickly learn and follow the DES sales process
  • Ability and willingness to lift up to 40 lbs., climb ladders, and crawl in hot, damp, and tight attics and crawlspaces
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software
  • Ability and willingness to drive to appointments in the Grand Strand, Wilmington, Charleston, and Sumter areas
  • Business acumen
  • Understanding of sales, marketing, and customer satisfaction theories and practices

Knowledge about home energy conservation systems would be helpful, but we can train the right person! Are you positive, self-motivated, and results-oriented? OUTSIDE SALES WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time outside sales position typically works Monday - Friday, but some availability for Saturday appointments is required to accommodate the schedules of homeowners.
