About the role

Responsible for the timely and efficient completion of tasks in an assigned area of operation. Responsible for consistently demonstrating the Merlin Values and Brand Guidelines throughout the Peppa Pig Theme Park. Exhibits positive customer service.


Compensation for this opportunity is $12.00/hr.


Admissions:

Works in Ticket Sales, Guest Services, and Turnstiles to ensure a great first and last impression for our guests. The primary duties of this position are selling gate tickets, processing annual passes, and providing a smooth entry for our guests at the turnstiles. Maintains accuracy of cash drawers.


Retail:

Responsible for the operation of assigned retail locations. Performs various duties for displaying and selling merchandise items, including preparing inventory for sale, processing sales, maintaining retail locations, and ensuring positive guest service to park visitors.


What you'll be doing

  • Operation of Front Gate computerized ticket sales system – ensures a thorough understanding of all aspects of the system and associated procedures. A thorough understanding of U.S currency and can handle credit card transactions.
  • Responsible for promoting and demonstrating Peppa Pig Theme Park and Merlin's SOPs, culture and core values through words and actions
  • Performs opening and closing routines as defined by the operating procedures.
  • Assists guests at the turnstiles – operating the Disabled Access Gate when necessary and assisting Guests with strollers. Liaison with General Admissions/Guest Services to resolve ticket errors at the turnstiles.
  • Ensures cleanliness in all aspects of the Ticket Booths and Turnstiles areas.
  • To contribute your ideas to improve the guest experience and continually strive to improve the department.
  • Oversees the operations and safety for all play/build areas in their designated area and operates at the maximum capacity in the safest way possible.
  • Ensures stock levels of Park Guides, show times, and tickets are maintained and that all areas are well-organized.
  • Process new inventory and continually restock the sales floor. Restock retail areas and ensure stock is replenished promptly. Ensure that order requirements are made as per SOP with the Retail Supervisor.
  • Maintain Merlin customer service standards by assisting guests and questions and available seating.
  • Clear and clean all tables once guests have left, ensuring the space is ready for the next guest to eat.
  • Cleaning guest self-service stations such as fountain areas, condiment spaces, utensil/napkin dispensers, etc.
  • Safely use restaurant equipment to prepare food, including fryers, grills, ovens, and other food prep equipment in line with policy and procedures.
  • Restocking of condiments, utensils, and napkins where necessary.
  • Emptying garbage bins in guest areas.
  • Cleaning up of spills, spot mopping, and sweeping where necessary.
  • Responsible for assisting in stock loss controls and participating in all Loss Prevention policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for utilizing proper tools for efficient and effective POS usage.
  • Responsible for daily maintenance, cleanliness, and security assigned store locations.
  • Responsible for opening and closing tasks necessary to operate assigned store locations in keeping with company policy and procedure.


Who we're looking for

Preferred experience in a commercial environment, with an emphasis on Retail sales. Basic math and computing skills are a requirement. Guest service experience preferred. Background on the point of Sale unit is selected.


Physical Demands:

Ability to sit for sustained periods to attend on-site meetings and perform paperwork activities.

Intermittent and prolonged standing and walking to move about the park site and interact with employees.

Finger dexterity is sufficient to complete paperwork activities and to use a computer.

Visual acuity is sufficient to read written materials, complete paperwork activities, and drive.

Hearing is sufficient to communicate with individuals in person and by telephone.


Work Environment:

Various inside, outside, and enclosed locations with varying temperatures and floor surfaces.

Exposed to wet and humid conditions.

May be exposed to food allergens.


Other Job Requirements:

Performs other duties as assigned.

Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends to support park operations.

Attendance is a mandatory function of this job.
