Director of Sales -Courtyard by Marrriott - Ardmore, OK
Reports to:
General Manager
Corporate Director of Sales Beechwood Pinnacle Hotels
Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of sales for Courtyard by Marriott hotel Ardmore, Oklahoma.
- Works closely with our sister property, Holiday Inn Ardmore, on joint sales efforts.
- Leads the sales effort in proactively identifying, qualifying, and soliciting business opportunities through account and market penetration and saturation.
- Gains an understanding of the hotel’s primary target customer and service expectations.
- Qualify incoming sales inquiries via phone, email, Meeting Broker, C-vent, other third party and all other avenues for the Marriott brand in a timely manner, no later than 24 hours from time of receipt.
- Uses available tools to understand the market conditions and competitors’ strengths and weaknesses and knows how to sell against them.
- Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers
- Conducts hotel tours and site inspections for potential customers either virtually or on property.
- Responsible for generating correspondence, Beechwood Pinnacle standardized contracts, proposals, BEOs and reports throughout the sales process.
- Represents the property at community and industry events
- Attends Revenue Meetings and is involved in Revenue Management team decisions, followings rate guidelines by hotel and follows brand and company standards.
- Assists with social media promotions
- Provides weekly sales calls /activities and booking reports as directed.
- Communicates to the property, all departments specific details of all groups and local accounts.
- This position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week and could include additional evenings and weekends depending on business.
Qualifications:
- Clear, effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, client and public etc.
- General understanding of Hotel sales and/or operations.
- Strong computer skills and Microsoft office are crucial.
- Excellent organization skills, time management and attention to detail.
- Marriott experience a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
