Hotel Front Desk Manager
Job description
The Holiday Inn Express in Le Mars is seeking applicants with hotel experience who are interested in a leadership position managing our hotel Front Desk.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Producing a weekly schedule to ensure our Front Desk is staffed 24/7/365 with an appropriate number of team members to ensure our guests have prompt and friendly service
* Covering Desk Shifts weekly
* Resolving and Responding to guest requests, complaints, and surveys.
* Interviewing, Hiring, Coaching & Counseling, Training /Developing, and disciplining our Front Office Team members as necessary to ensure an amazing Front Office team that allow us to provide the best lodging experience in the area!
This position is ideal for someone with previous hotel experience, as well as previous leadership experience.
The hours of this role will vary weekly based upon hotel business levels, but would primarily be during the 2nd (3pm-10pm) shift under normal circumstances. Would be required to work most weekends and holidays, and would need to be available in the event of a team member is ill or unable to cover their own shift. This position is the right hand of the General Manager and reports directly to them.
All our team members are empowered to do whatever it takes to ensure no guests leave our hotel unhappy - the Front Office Manager is the example for all other hotel team members to follow, and sets the tone for the entire department. Ownership of this department is essential to its success and the success of the hotel as the Front Desk is the 'brains' behind every guest interaction.

Pay: $15.50 - $19.50 per hour
