Job Overview: Dogwood Canyon located in Lampe, MO is currently looking for an experienced HOUSEKEEPER to join our team! This individual will perform a variety of housekeeping duties including vacuuming, mopping, surface cleaning, and dusting. The right candidate needs to be punctual, thorough but fast, and eager to learn.

Essential Functions:

• Clean rooms and public spaces as outlined in the housekeeping manual and/or as directed by the Executive Housekeeper
• Perform general sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, and vacuuming of floors as needed
• Scrub sinks, basins, bathtubs, showers, and toilets
• Dispose of trash from bins and containers
• Change of linens, and gather used linens such as sheets and towels for laundering
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, mirrors, and counters as needed
• Check all fixtures in room to ensure proper working order
• Communicate with dispatcher on clean rooms or room status changes
• Report maintenance defects in rooms
• Maintain an awareness of all safety procedures and guidelines as they relate to Guests and Associates
• Be knowledgeable of cleaning products, their proper uses and necessary personal protective equipment to perform the tasks with safety awareness in mind
• Maintain cleaning equipment, supplies, and products; ensure safe and sanitary storage and care of products
• Provide professional, friendly service to all Guests
• Other duties as assigned
• Must adhere to all company/department safety standards and policies.
• Must be open to working mandatory/approved overtime.
• Must be open to working weekends/weekdays/nights when necessary/critical to support the business.
• Must be able to cover shifts at affiliate Conservation Attraction properties.
• Must have an approved driving record and operate a company vehicle if required/applicable.

MINIMUM Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Familiarity with computer software word processing and database and spreadsheet (especially Excel) is essential.
• A basic knowledge of Housekeeping department duties
• Requires walking/standing approximately 70% of the time; sitting approximately 10% of the time; lifting to 50 lbs. - approximately 10% of the time; stooping, forward bending and crouching approximately 10% of the time.
• Any combination of experience, education, skills, certification(s) etc. will be taken into consideration
• Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to sunlight, various animals, weather, loud sounds, low lighting, close quarters, high/low temperatures, etc.
