Job description
Responsibilities:
Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed.
Coordinate daily routine cleaning with nursing when performing assignments in resident living and recreational areas.
Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner.
Keep work and assignment areas free of hazardous objects, such as protruding mop, brooms, and unnecessary equipment/supplies.
Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units in residents rooms, dining rooms, recreational rooms, and therapy rooms.
Clean windows, mirrors in residents rooms, bathrooms, and hallways.
Dust and or damp wipe all surfaces. c
Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing.
Remove dirt, grease, dust, film etc. from surface with approve cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacle with plastic bags.
Qualifications:
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in Health Care or Skilled Nursing highly preferred
Physical & Sensory Requirements:
Must be able to more intermittently thought the day
Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress of the position
Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with the residents
Must meet the general health requirement set forth by the policies of the facility
Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset
Must be able to lift, push and pull at least fifty pounds.
