Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus, an affiliate of RWJBarnabas Health, is a fully accredited acute care hospital dedicated to providing the finest medical and health care services to the residents of Ocean and Monmouth counties.

The Housekeeping Worker is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, along with performing other cleaning duties as directed.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and disinfect patients rooms, bathrooms, and other areas of the facility in a timely fashion
• Cleaning duties will include trash removal and disposal, sweeping, mopping, and other duties assigned according to hospital policies and procedures.
• Must understand standard precautions and removal of medical waste, hazardous waste, and pharmaceutical waste
• Will provide training to clean surgical equipment, surgical invasive areas, isolation areas
• Must be able to work independently
• Maintain adequate stock of supplies and chemicals
• Lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.
• Prefer an understanding of following Joint Commission and DOH inspections

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Hospital housekeeping experience preferred
