The Houseperson / Laundry Aide maintains designated areas in a clean and sanitary condition. His/her/their presence in resident living areas provides residents with reassurance that a caring support network is present at Bayview. Also responsible for sorting, washing, drying, and folding a wide variety and large volume of cloth products used at Bayview (BAYVIEW). S/he/they performs these duties in a timely, efficient, and safe manner being careful to minimize the risk of infections being transmitted through any aspect of the laundry process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Knowledge and Skill

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
• Excellent verbal communication skills and good written communication skills.
• Hearing, speaking, and understanding of English must be consistent with nearly constant verbal communication in English.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for immediate response to any number of issues that may be expected at a reception desk including security issues.
• Cheerful and responsive approach to dealing with people motivated by a caring attitude.
• Must be very organized and able to remain calm under most reception desk situations.
• Demonstrated skill and experience in all of the categories mentioned above under Specific Duties and Responsibilities.

It will require 30-35 hours per week all shifts, including: 7am - 3 pm, 2 pm - 10 pm, and 10 pm - 6 am
