This role is Houseperson/Trash & Linen. 2 days out of the week, this role will be responsible for trash and linen. If you enjoy doing something different each day this is the perfect role for you.

Schedule Details: Our housekeeping team members must be adaptable to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

What will I be doing?

As a Houseperson:

  • Ensure that all items delivered to the guest rooms are clean and in working order
  • Identify and report preventative or maintenance issues in the public area or guest rooms.
  • Remove used and replace with new linens, towels, and necessary products and supplies.
  • Properly maintain work carts/stations to optimize appearance and efficiency.
  • Ensure the resort follows all federal, state, and local laws, including OSHA
  • Cleans corridors, landings, and stairwells, delivers guest requests, vacuums, and heavy cleaning of all areas in compliance with all standards of quality and productivity.
  • Assists management in maintaining an accurate inventory of linen and supplies

As Trash and Linen:

  • Emptying and transporting trash and linen to the appropriate areas for pick up.
  • Ensure that all linen and trash chutes are cleared daily and do not back up.
  • Assisting with receiving new deliveries.
  • Sorting, counting, weighing and logging weights for linen.
  • Inspecting carts and trailers daily and reporting any safety hazards immediately.
  • Use correct safety procedures at all times when handling trash/linen and transporting it.
  • Assist floor houseman as needed and when requested by management.
  • Assist with projects throughout the property.

  • Eligibility: All U.S. hourly Team Members not represented by a labor organization or subject to the collective bargaining agreement.

  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Adapt communication style to suit different audiences, efficiently communicating with supervisors, coworkers, and guests in English

  • Work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment, flexible with spontaneous demands from guests
  • Follows company’s philosophies, policies, and procedures and is able to successfully communicate them to appropriate departments
  • Physically able to work from a ladder, move furniture, operate cleaning equipment, and tolerate exposure to general cleaning chemicals
  • Work in various environmental factors such as humidity, heat, cold, dust, and noise
